Christmas Card

It's only March and I already have a good start to my Christmas cards.  This is my dt card for Crafty Hazel Nut's Christmas Extra challenge.  The theme is always Anything Goes.
Since this card will be mailed to the recipient, I kept it free of bulky embellishments.  Gotta save a little on postage.

Owl Card

My son had his 22nd birthday the other day and this was the card I made him.  He is one of my biggest crafting supporters so I knew he would notice right away that I tried a new technique. (He did and asked me about it).  I finally got a chance to play with the distress reinkers I received for Christmas.  I painted the background with the ink and then dropped little bits of water on top to create the look.  I kept the card clean and simple (CAS) to show off the background. I really love the way it turned out and I can't wait to try other color combos.

Card Details:
Owl stamp: Not sure which company it is from
Distress inks: bundled sage, pumice stone, weathered wood
Spellbinders lacy circle die
Stitched circle die

Christmas Card

The theme this week at 52 CCT is Christmas Baking.
For my card I used this grumpy gingerbread man from Peachy Keen Stamps. I kept the card simple because it will probably go to one of my nephews.

Easter Gift Box

Spring is in the air here in NW Missouri.  The temps have been in the 50's this week and today it's expected to get up into the 70's.  It's been great to get the little kids outside again for longer periods of time. Since it's Missouri, I'm sure it will get cold again and even snow before spring officially begins.
This cute little gift box is my DT creation for Aud Sentiments. I used the Tags, Bags, Boxes and More Cricut cartridge to make the box.  There were two slots in the top so I added ribbon. The box is only about 1/2 inch in depth so it's perfect for a little cash, gift card and small candy treats.

This is my DT card for 52 CCT.  The theme this week is a color challenge (Blue, Cream, Gold).  Those a beautiful colors for Christmas card.  I used this lovely Tilda stamp from Magnolia Stamps. I love the way the gold turned out on the candle and the flowers in her hair.  I colored the image with copics and then painted over the gold with extreme glitter paint.  I also used antique white embossing enamel which as bits of gold in it.
I can't wait to see what you create for this challenge.

Christmas Card

It's time for another weekly Christmas card challenge at 52 CCT.  This week the challenge is to follow the sketch.

I created a quick and simple card this time.  I used papers and printed images from the Recollections Christmas Noel paper pack.  I did add a sentiment using a stamp though.
I can't wait to see your Christmas cards made using this sketch.

Valentine

I really like how this valentine card turned out. This is my DT card for the Aud Sentiments challenge "Use a Love Sentiment"
I started by taking the doily circle from the Easter Cricut cartridge.  I used cricut craft room to weld two of the doilies together for the card base.
I folded the front in half and then decorated with die cuts and stamps.
I wanted to try out a new coloring technique and make her outfit look like it was covered in sequins.  If you want to see how to do this, you can view THIS video on youtube. I did use some extreme glitter paint after I colored with copics for a little extra sparkle and shine.

Project Details:
Stamp: Stop In The Name Of Love Tilda from Magnolia Stamps
Copics: E00, E04, E11, E13, E21, R20, T0, T1, T3, T7, E57, E35, E53, E50

Christmas Stockings

Wow! Can  you believe it's already February?  Today is the day that winter storm Kayla will be dumping large amounts of snow on parts of the United States.  We are just on the southern edge of her predicted path so I don't think we will get much, if any snow.
Today is also the start of a new challenge at Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge extra.  The theme is Anything Goes.  I can't wait to see what you create.
I had fun making this card using the Christmas Brat Stocking Boy from Bugaboo stamps.  The stocking diecuts are a new set from Spellbinders I received for Christmas. ARe they fun?
