Love

This darling little girl is from Mo's Digital Pencil.  My aunt moved recently and gave me a large bag of lace left over from her various craft projects.  The smaller lace is from her.  The larger lace I found at Walmart of all places.  The Hearts are buttons and match perfectly with the heart flowers in the stamp.  I added a charm that says "Love" but it is hard to see in the picture.  I painted over the flower hearts with extreme glitter paint and used my shabby chic embossing powder for a little extra sparkle and glitter.

Highway Sign

This is my Design Team card for Creative Craft Challenge.  The theme this week is to use the colors Blue and Brown.
My nephew will be celebrating his 16th birthday over the weekend so this card is for him.  I am sure he will be going in as soon as possible after his birthday to get his driver's license and then talk his parents into letting him hit the road on his own.  His dad is our local sheriff so I am sure he won't be able to get away with anything!
I cut the key out of heavy silver metallic cardstock and I love the way it turned out.

With Sympathy

I never seem to have any sympathy cards on hand when needed.  They are always a challenge to make at the last minute when grieving.  So it's a good thing the challenge this time at Aud Sentiments is to create Sympathy or Thinking of You cards.  This gives us all a chance to have at least one on hand.
We are sponsored this time by Robyn's Fetish who provided the DT with some beautiful images to use for this challenge.

Butterfly: Spellbinders dies

Christmas Fairy

I wanted to try more of my shabby chic embossing enamel and the gold mica flakes.  Works perfect with this sweet image from Mo's Digital Pencil.  I colored the image with copics and then painted over the wings, dress sash and ruffles with extreme glitter paint.  I did add some very small gold pearls to the holly in her hair.

Bathing Beauty Tilda

This Tilda in her bathing suit is absolutely adorable. I was so excited when I discovered her in my summer stamp club kit from Magnolia. After coloring her with copics, I used Tim Holtz tumbled glass distress ink and then glued sand under her feet.  I love the way the sand looks on the card and it adds some great texture.

Pumpkins 5 Cents

The challenge theme at Creative Craft is NUMBERS.  You can interpret that however you want. I used this adorable image from Melonheadz for my card.  The temps have been in the upper 90's the past few days and our central air broke down.  Good thing I am married to a jack of all trades and he fixed it fast.  Anyway, I was dreaming of cooler temps so decided to make a fall card.

Anniversary Card

This anniversary card is for my sister-in-law and her husband.  My hubby is the change of life baby in his family so his sister got married when he was 5 years old.  He doesn't remember a time when she wasn't married.  She collects Precious Moments figurines so I did a search for free Precious Moments coloring pages and came across this darling image.  I colored it in the soft pastels associated with the figurines.
I used my new shabby pink embossing enamel from Stampendous.  That stuff is so much fun to work with.  It is a little different than the embossing I have done in the past since this is chunky and needs to be heated from underneath.  I already have plans for more projects using this and it may just become as much of a staple in my crafting as my copics and extreme glitter paint.  If you are interested in trying it out for yourself, I got mine from 7kids college fund.  I used the gift card I received when I won their It's Just Wrong challenge when I turned Tilda into a zombie.
I used two othe new crafting items for this card.  It has been awhile since I did some crafty shopping so I dug out my gift cards and had some fun!

Christmas Angel

Another card to add to my Christmas card box. My box is slowly getting filled up for the holidays.  My plan is to have all my cards made, envelopes addressed and cards mailed by Dec 1st.
For this card, I played around will embossing powder and a snowflake border stamp. After stamping the angel, I stamped around the edges of the paper with embossing ink.  I love how it turned out.  The die cut snowflakes were cut using the Christmas Noel Cricut cartridge.  I then embossed them with the same embossing powder.  After I was done stamping and coloring, I remembered I had this fabulous snowflake ribbon in my stash and it works perfectly with the embossed snowflakes.  I also painted Tildas halo, wings, dress and star wand with extreme glitter paint.  I love the overall effect and will have a hard time giving this card away.
