Anniversary Candles

For my parent's 50th anniversary reception, I decorated white pillar candles for the tables.
I kept them pretty simple but they did look elegant on the tables.  The scalloped flower is from the Elegant Edges Cricut cartridge and the birds are from the Joys of the Season Cricut cartridge.  I wrapped the paper around the candle and then attached it using pins with pearls.

New Sketch by Carly

Carly has a new sketch for us this week.   It is a super versatile sketch so I can't wait to see what you create with it.  This challenge is sponsored by My Heart Pieces.  They are giving the winner of the challenge 3 digi images of their choice.
For my card I used the image Waiting Fairy from My Heart Pieces.  After coloring the entire image, I cut out another set of wings to give a little more dimension to the card.  And of course, I painted them with extreme glitter paint.  If you follow my blog, you know I love that stuff.  It is so easy to use and dries in less than 5 minutes.  I also love the fact that I can add more after it dries if I want my project to be even more glittery.
Now it is your turn to show us what you can do with Carly's sketch.  You have two weeks to create a project and upload it to the challenge blog for your chance to win.  Can't wait to see what you create!

Aud Sentiments new challenge is to put your sentiment on a tag.
We are sponsored by Tickled Pink for this challenge.  They provided the DT with images to use for our projects.  I used Tickled Winter Little Lolita Evie.  I decided to give her a silver dress and hat.  After coloring with copics, I added extreme glitter paint for that shimmering look.  I also added snow white flock to her hat and dress trim.   I hope you join us in this challenge.  You can create whatever you want as long as you put your sentiment on a tag.

Rapunzel Birthday Card

Sassy Studio Designs is sponsoring the challenge at Cupcake Craft Challenges.  The theme is "Number Cruncher" which means we need to use a number on a project.  Perfect timing for me because I needed a birthday card for the sweetest little 3 year old.
I used Rapunzel Honey from Sassy Studio Designs.  The number was cut with the Base Camp Cricut cartridge and the cupcake with Sweet Treats Cricut cartridge.  I used snow tex on the frosting and a pop dot for the cherry for some added dimenstion.

Altered Bulletin Board

Sassy Studio Designs is sponsoring the challenge at Altered Elusions.
I decided to make a large bulletin board for my craft room.  The image is Katniss Sassy On Fire from Sassy Studio Designs.  The branches are from the Storybook Cricut cartridge and the bird cage from the Sophie Cricut cartridge.  I made the flowers from material and added an old earring to the center of the lower right flower and beads to the upper left flower.

My Son Took Over My Craft Room

I walked in to my craft room to find my son putting vinyl numbers on his dirt bike.  He took his dirt bike completely apart so he could paint it and replace a few of the parts.  He will have a "new" bike when done.
He used my Cricut to cut out the numbers.  Love it that he knows how to use my craft supplies to make projects.  He even cleaned up after himself!
