Happy 17th Birthday Benjamin!

My youngest son turns 17 today!  Where have the years gone?  Seems like just yesterday I was in the hospital hoping the doctor would hurry up and release us so we could go home for Christmas.
Ben sold his dirt bike he spent hours and hours painting and fixing up only to turn around and buy a 4 wheeler.  And guess what?   He has spent hours and hours fixing that up as well.  The boy loves to tinker!
Anyway, this is his birthday card.
The inside sentiment is just perfect for him.  During the extreme drought we experienced this year he still managed to find mud!

Here is a pic of Ben on his 4 wheeler.  Not sure what color his shirt was when he started but he was wearing blue jeans.  He was covered in dirt from head to toe and lovin it!!

Christmas Love

It is time for another challenge at Aud Sentiments.  The theme for this challenge is Any Sentiment.  Remember, you must use a sentiment on your card to be considered for the prize.
The challenge is sponsored by My Heart Pieces

For my dt project, I used the image Sweet Jesus from My Heart Pieces.  It is always interesting to see Christmas images from around the world.  This is a super sweet image and baby Jesus looks so peaceful in his manger (or his haybasket as my daycare kids call it)
I hope you join us for the last challenge in 2012.  You can enter your project here

Christmas Wishes

One more card using Santa Edwin.  Again for this card I used a Sketch from Merry Monday.

Prayer Is The Key

I made this frame as a Christmas gift.  All of the letters and shapes were cut out of vinyl using the Cricut.  I left the cardboard backing in so that the frame will be easier to ship but is will hang on the wall with just the glass in the frame.
Sorry, for the poor picture.  The red reflecting in the glass is my shirt.

Key:  Sentimentals Cricut cartridge
Heaven: Country Life Cricut cartridge
Faith: Home Accents Cricut cartridge
all other words:  Jasmine Cricut cartridge.

Believe

Isn't Edwin cute as Santa?  I just love this stamp.  I colored this one up about a month ago but finally got around to making a card with him.
I used one of the sketches from Merry Monday and rotated it.

Christmas Ornaments

I made this set of ornaments for my Sorority Secret Sister.  Her husband and children have uniquely spelled names so I figured it is hard for them to find personalized items.
I glittered the inside of the ornaments by first coating the inside with pledge floor cleaner that has future in it.  The future is key to this project working.  I then added the glitter.

Here is a pic of the back side of the ornaments.  I used the cricut to cut out the names and images out of vinyl.

Names:  Jasmine Cricut cartridge
Ornaments:  Christmas Noel Cricut cartridge
Tree: Christmas Noel Cricut cartridge

Peace

I am slowly getting my Christmas cards completed.  Hopefully, I will have them all in the mail by Saturday.  Woohoo!
For this card, I used one of the mini Magnolia angels.  Wasn't too sure I would like the minis but she is pretty cute and super easy to color.
For this card I used the sketch from Seems A Little Sketchy

Stockings are Hung

It is time for another fun challenge at Creative Craft Challenges.  This time we are sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps and the theme is Humurous.  Easy peasy with all of the fun and wacky images at Bugaboo.
For my card, I couldn't resist using this fun image of Stella and her stocking.  I decked her all out in red and added some white flower soft for the trim on her hat and dress.  Makes her look festive, don't ya think?

Here is the inside of the card:

I used the sketch from Stella Says Sketch at Catch A Bug challenge blog.

Let's Play Bingo!

It's time for another challenge at Aud Sentiments.   We are sponsored by The Paper Shelter and the challenge is BINGO.

I made two cards for this challenge.  For my first card, I used the first column (3D item, Ribbon and the word "Merry")
I used white flower soft for santa's hat and coat trip and tan fun flock for Rudolph's antlers.

For my second card I used the the diagonal column of (Bling, Ribbon and Snow)

This adorable elf reminded me of Buddy from the movie, Elf.  I think this is what he would look like as he traveled through the seven layers of the candy cane forest and the sea of swirly twirly gum drops.  I used a snow writer and extreme glitter paint for my bling on this card as well as diamond dust on the gum drops.

I hope that you join us in the challenge.  Simply create a project using the Bingo grid and link up it up to the challenge blog for your chance to win a gift certificate from The Paper Shelter.

Green Lantern Card and Pumpkin

Made this card for my son who loves The Green Lantern.
I used the oath he says for the inside sentiment

Of course, we couldn't just give him a card but we had to make the lantern too.
I used one of the pumpkins from Michaels and spray painted it green.  Instead of cutting off the top, we cut a small hole in the bottom and the light fits snug inside.  Thank way, he can turn the light on and off without having to reach inside the pumpkin

No Limits

I finally completed another scrapbook layout.
My youngest son saved his money from a summer job and bought a dirtbike last year.  These pictures were taken not long after he bought it.  He spent several weeks taking it apart, painting and replacing parts and all the decals.  When finished he sold it and bought a 4 wheeler.  The 4 wheeler is now sitting in the garage in pieces because he wants to paint and fix it up too.  I think he really just loves having projects.

For my sentiment I used lyrics from the song used in the Disney movie.  The inside of the card reads:

Number 3

(Sorry this card is a day late.  The computer I use for all my crafty stuff crashed!  I am hoping that our repair guy can fix it fast)

This is my first card as a design team member for Creative Craft Challenges.  The challenge blog is celebrating their 3rd birthday so the challenge is to use 3 of something in your project.
I used 3 balloons, 3 sentiments and 3 gems
I colored the adorable dragon from Stamping Dragon Designs purple and then had a hard time matching papers until I went through my halloween stash.  That striped paper works great.
I hope you join us in this challenge.  Just create a project using the number 3 however you want and link it up to the challenge blog for your chance to win prizes from our fabulous sponsors
