It's time for another fabulous challenge at Craft Us Crazy. Our theme for this challenge is Spring/Easter. Remember, you can use any type of crafting medium for this challenge just as long as you stick to the theme. We are being sponsored this time by Peggy Loves Vintage. She is offerin 5 cut out images of the winners choice as the prize!! I have been admiring her images for quite awhile and was so glad when she offered the DT members a chance to work with one of the great vintage images. I used the image St. Clair for my easel card.

Please link up your Spring/Easter project at the Craft Us Crazy challenge blog for your chance to win!

Here is a little info about Peggy Loves Vintage:
My husband and I have shared 36 years together and we have 2 sons and a daughter and 2 glorious grandkids ages 3 and 6. I started collecting vintage cards quite by accident. I was helping with my aunts estate sale and ran across her collection. The cards were so wonderful that I fell in love with them and have been collecting them ever since. I love to get a new vintage scrapbook and read all about the lives and times of the individual. Some of their stories are truly inspiring. The word Hope and the stars were cut out of gold foil paper.

Reading Rachel

Sassy Studio Designs is sponsoring 365 Cards all week long. Today's challenge is PQR (Polka Dots, Quilt, and Red). For my card I decided to use Reading Rachel from Sassy Studio Designs. This challenge was a little challenging for me. Once I decided to use a pattern paper and paper piece the blanket on her lap for the quilt, the rest of the card was pretty easy. The Martha Stewart border punch adds a few more fun polka dots to the card. I added some snow white flower soft to her slippers to give them a soft fuzzy look.

Blog Linking Party

Made by MOMO is having a blog linking party for bloggers with less than 200 followers. This is a wonderful way to help new bloggers get started. So many of the blogs that are already linked up are just fabulous! There are some very talented crafters that may be new to blogger but are definetly pros at crafting. Even though I am a little shy of 200 followers myself, I want to give these new bloggers some encouragement and support. So, if you have less than 200 followers please go link your blog up HERE. If you have more than 200 followers, please go give these fresh bloggers some support!

Sassy Studio Designs Challenge Make Your Own Embellishment

It's time for another challenge at Sassy Studio Designs. This week we are challenging you to make your own embellishments. For my DT project I used the beautiful Victorian image from Sassy Studio Designs. For my home made embellishment I decided to go 'old school' with my supplies. The flower is made from 3 circles (sizes 2, 1.75 and 1.5 inches). I folded each one in half and then in to thirds and trimed the sides to create 6 petals. I then used my decorative edge scissors (remember those? If you started scrapbooking or card making in the 90's they were the hot tool to own. Ok, ok they were one of the few tools available to us at that time). We would love to have you join us in this challenge. Simple create a project and link it up over at Sassy Studio Designs for your chance to win!

Easter Chicks

I am so excited! I was asked to be a guest designer at One Stop Craft for this week's challenge!! The challenge is clean and simple. Until about 2 years ago most of the cards I made were clean and simple but over time my style has changed. Needless to say, this challenge was just a little bit challenging to me. I kept wanting to add pattern paper and embellishments to my card. In the end, I stuck to the theme of the challenge and I decided I really like the way this card turned out. I like the pastel colors with the white background and that little chick is just too cute! I did add some lemon yellow flower soft to the chick to give him some dimension though.

Baby Chicks

I just adore this sweet digi stamp from Mo's Digital Pencil. Isn't this guy just the sweetest? He reminds me of my son when he was little. He always wore his mud boots, rain or shine. We used to hatch chicks every spring and he just loved feeding and playing with the chickies. I am going to enter this into the current challenge at Mo's digital challenge. The theme this week is "Oh Baby" and it is open to our interpretation so I think these baby chicks qualify. I colored the chicks and then added just a little lemon yellow flower soft to give them the soft and fuzzy look of a baby chick. I used the sketch from The Sweet Stop.
