Thinking of You

This cute Garden Bunny is from Meljen's Designs. I am entering this into the challenge on their challenge blog. The challenge was simply to follow the sketch that was provided. I love this sketch! I can see it used for so many occasions. My sister in law used to make stuffed rabbits similar to this so this card will probably find it's way to her one of these days. I tried to give the bunny the "look" of being tea dyed.

Magnolia Christmas Angel

Another Christmas card completed. Yeah!!! This card was such a challenge for me, not because it was hard, but just everything was going wrong. I started running out of Copic ink and had to refill, had a stickles glob to clean up and I just didn't like the way the flowers turned out. I am satisfied with the final result even though it is not what I had originally had it mind. I used dazzling diamonds glimmer mist on the snowflakes and flowers but it doesn't show up in the picture. I used Silver Ice Stickles on the stars and Crystal Stickles on the wings. I am entering this into the Tuesday Throwdown challenge. Their challenge this week is Christmas in July

Happy Birthday To My Husband!

Today is my husbands birthday!! I had this idea in my head for his card and I just couldn't rest until I figured out a way for it to work. The idea for this card comes from a joke my 94 year old Grandmother told my hubby a few years ago. The joke is a little naughty and not even that funny. It was more about her delivery of the joke. Anyway, to this day we can't even mention hanging baskets without my hubby laughing. I found some great digi stamps of Stella at Bugaboo Stamps that helped make this card great!

Can't wait until tonight when I give him the card. I am sure he will be falling out of his chair laughing!!!!!
Card details:

Circle tag: Mini Monograms cut at 2 inches

Christmas Angel

inside of card:

Time for another Christmas card. I am hoping that if I made a card or two here and there throughout the year that I won't be so overwhelmed at Christmas. The image for this card is from Sassy Studio Designs. I used Martha Stewart crystal fine glitter on her wings and a Spica pen on her halo and earrings. Sure hope the sparkle shows up in the pictures because in real life she looks gorgeous!

Aud Sentiments Challenge #7

Time for another fun challenge at Aud Sentiments!! Challenge #6 was so much fun. We had over 100 entries! Woohoo! Challenge #7 is being sponsored by Digi Doodle. They have lots of really cute images. We would love to have you join us for this challenge. Simple make a card, altered item or scrapbook page and link it to the Aud Sentiments challenge blog.

The theme for this challenge is "Choose Your Own Christmas Sentiment" I chose the image, Santa Baby with Tree.

I decided I wanted to make the front of the card to look like a window. I used Cricut Design Studio to create the opening in the front of the card and to manipulate the window image so that it would be the best size to feature the digi image. After I cut the opening in the card, I cut two of the window images in the blue paper. I attached a piece of transperancy film onto the back of one of the blue windows and then glued to the front of the card. The other blue window was placed on the inside of the card. I used Snow Tex to give the look of freshly fallen snow on the window.

Marquee shape: Songbird Cricut cartridge

Your Next Stamp Design Team Call

Your Next Stamp is having a design team call. Their images are just adorable and I would love, love, love the opportunity to design with them. Part of the application process was to pick 3 of our best projects and post them on our blogs. The three projects I picked are ones that were fun to make and had sentimental value.

1st Project: Card made for my dad for father's day. The stamp is "Fly Away" from Penny Black

2nd Project: Scrapbook layout of 4 generations (my grandmother, mom, great-grandmother and my sister) I used the Magnolia stamp, Tilda in Hat

3rd Project: Rootin Tootin Cowboy from Karen's Doodles. This card was made for a very special young man that I used to baby sit.

I hope that I am chosen to be part of the design team but if not, I did have fun going back through some of my projects and remembering why I made them.

Tilda and Edwin

I received my Magnolia Summer Stamp Kit in the mail yesterday. All of the stamps in the kit are amazing! I am so glad that I decided to order at the last minute. I know that I am going to get a lot of use out of these stamps. When I saw the two images of Tilda and Edwin caught in the anchors, I immediately thought they would make great tent cards. All the pattern papers are from Basic Grey. Since I didn't have a particular occassion in mind when I made the cards, I haven't added a sentiment. I think the flag in the top left will be a great place for a sentiment.
Card Details:
Stamps: Magnolia
Anchor: Mickey and Friends Cricut cart cut at 3 inches
Hat: Mickey and Friends Cricut cart cut at 1.25 inches

Blog Candy Alert

If you want a chance to win some amazing blog candy, head on over to Flair and Frills. She is giving away a little of everything.

Zucchinis in Bikinis

The children's song Bananas in Pajamas has a verse about Zucchinis in Bikinis. My daycare kids think this song is hilarious and didn't really understand what a zucchini was even though I serve them for lunch. We had to take a trip down to my garden to see if any of the zucchini are wearing bikinis. Gotta love those kids!!!!
I haven't had much time for crafting lately so I thought I would show you why....

We just love eating out of the garden! Yum Yum!
