Halloween Tags

Here are a couple of quick tags I made for Halloween.  The first one is a pocket tag and will hold a gift card.  It is going into the care package for my oldest son who is in college and living in his own apartment.
The second tag will go on the treat bag for my youngest son who is also in college but living at home.  Yes, I still like to spoil them even though they are in college.  I fill their care packages with items such as favorite snacks, gift cards to go out to eat and other small items that helps make college life a little easier.  I always try to include one item that is a reminder of home.  This year that item is a box of Dinosaur oatmeal.  Both boys used to love this as kids (they still do)

Pumpkin House

Want to win a $10 GV to Scrapper's Delights?  All you need to do is creat a Halloween project using an image from Scrapper's Delights and upload it to the Facebook challenge.  You can find the details HERE.

For my card, I used the image Pumpkin House.  It's a great image to use for a Halloween card when you don't want something scary.

Sweet Christmas Dreams

This adorable stamp is from The Paper Shelter.  I just love the napping Santa.  I am sure he is worn out from his around the world travels.  Will he be visiting you this year?
We have a new challenge at Aud Sentiments.  The theme is to create anything you want as long as you use a 2-3 Word Sentiment.  My sentiment stamp is from Magnolia Stamps.  It goes perfectly with this image.  I kept all of my embellishments flat since this is another card that will need to be mailed this year.  Still trying to keep the post office in business.

Happy Thanksgiving

Taking a short break from Christmas cards to make a card for Thanksgiving. The new challenge at Scrapbooker PhD is to create a fall project with a die cut and a stamp.
This little guy is adorable as a turkey.  I always struggle to make pretty bows and I finally had an aha moment one day when I was putting a new bow in my puppy's hair for her top knot...duh why not make the bows for my cards the same way?  So much easier and less frustrating for me.  If you want to know my secret, you can watch this VIDEO.  You can use a small rubber band but I use the tiny clear bands that I use for Isabella's top knots.  I get them HERE.  The clear bands don't show and are tiny enough that it is easy to tuck behind the bow.
Don't forget to join us at Scrapbooker PhD

When I saw this image at Sassy Cheryl's, I just knew she would be perfect for several people on my Christmas card list.  I think most of us can relate...there is always that one person whose halo is just a little off center.  Hahaha.  Not mine...heehee!

Christmas Card

Another Christmas card done!  I am afraid to count to see how many more I need but I know it's over 20.  The stamp I used for this card is from the Magnolia fall stamp club.  Tilda looks so cute holding the lamb.  I think this stamp will work for Easter projects too.  I pulled out an old Mojo Monday sketch for this card.  Love how the sketch is simple yet it's a great design.  I chose to not add very many embellishments not only to make it easier to mail but because I wanted the stamp to be the main focal point.

Today starts another challenge at Aud Sentiments.  The theme is Anything Goes.  You can make anything you want as long as you include a sentiment.  We are sponsored by Lacy Sunshine Stamps.
Since this is another card I will need to mail, I kept the embellishments flat and stuck with die cuts.  I did add some white embossing enamel  and some gold stickles to dress them up though.

Today's card is a simple Christmas card made using one of my favorite Magnolia stamps.  Love this little angel.  After coloring her with copics, I added gold stickles to her halo, wings, star and dress trim.  I did not add any extra bulky embellishments to this card so that it is easier to mail.  I plan to keep the post office in business with all of my Christmas cards this year but I certainly need to keep the cost down a bit. Thus, most of the cards I will need to mail this year will be flat and just have die cuts for embellishments.

Card #2 for World Card Making Day

Still playing around with my new dies and stamps from Magnolia Stamps.

Thought I would also share a picture of my crafting companion.  This is Isabella.  She has been sleeping under my craft desk most of the day.  She is still recovering from surgery she had on Monday.  Yesterday she got a few of her toys out for the first time since she came home and played for awhile.  She must have overdid it because she has slept most of today.

World Card Making Day

Woohoo! It's World Card Making Day!  This is the first of my projects for the day.  I have 20 more images colored and ready to be make into cards, tags and more.  I had plans to spend the whole day in my craft room ignoring my dirty house but somehow life always gets in the way.  I have to take a quick trip to the bank to deposit money from work.  I am going to skip the usual grocery store run though.  Who needs milk?  Tonight I have to take a short break as well to attend a fundraising event for our local community center but I hope to be back to crafting afterwards.  I am sure I won't get all 20 projects done but I am going to have fun trying.

Honey Pumpkin Tag

It's the first of October, my favorite month!  This year has gone by so fast.  They do seem to go by faster the older you get.
Today's project is a tag I made using one of the new release images from Scrapper's Delights.  This release has a little bit of everything from fall/halloween to goth to emo.  I just love this little honey with her pumpkins.  She comes with an option for faces on the pumkins so you can do either a fall project or a halloween  project.  I decided to make a tag to go along with some of the care packages I intend to make this year.
