Ready, Set, Go!

The new challenge at Aud Sentiments is the ever popular... Any Sentiment.  Which means it is an Anything Goes challenge but don't forget the sentiment.
We are sponsored by Prairie Fairy and she gave the DT some fun images to use for our sample projects.  I used Racer Lewis.  He looks excited to be ready to race.

We would love to have you join us in this challenge.  Simply create any project you want that includes a sentiment and link it up to Aud Sentiments challenge blog by Sept 10th for your chance to win a gift certificate to Prairie Fairy.

Happy Birthday

Another birthday card using a Mo's Digital Pencil image.  This is Bella's Birthday.  She looked like she was having lots of fun partying so I think the sentiment works perfectly with her.  I chose not to use 3D embellishments on this card so that it will be easier to mail.  I tend to hand deliver most of my cards with lots of 3D embellies.

Fairy Thank You

Here is another card I made over the weekend.  This is a thank you card for the sweetest little girl.
Hope she likes the purple hair on the fairy.  After coloring with copics, I painted her wings with extreme glitter paint.  I stamped around the outside of the image with embossing ink and then used Recollections sparkle embossing powder.  After I used my heat gun, I then added the tinsel glitter.  The flower is a coffee filter flower that someone sent to me.  It matches the paper so perfectly.

Happy Birthday Bumble Bee

What to do on a really hot August day?  Create cards in my cool craft room of course!
The past couple of weeks have been very hectic getting back into the groove of the school schedule in between getting the garden produce canned and frozen.
I felt a little lazy today simply working on a few lesson plans and then creating some cards.  It was WONDERFUL!

Fall

I can't believe that fall will soon be here.  My oldest is going back to college tomorrow.  He planned to leave today but I convinced him to stay one more day. Which means I need to come up with an awesome home cooked meal tonight.  My youngest starts his senior year of high school.  yikes!  It seems like just yesterday he was starting kindergarten.  He attends high school in the mornings and technical school in the afternoons.  We had back to school night last night at his technical school.  Always makes me proud when the teachers seek me out to tell me how they love to have him as a student.
This is always a busy time of year for me.  Not only am I getting my boys ready to go back to school, but myself as well.  I run a daycare and teach preschool so I have been busy getting ready for all of my favorite young people. Cleaning equipment and lesson plans have been my daily agenda.   Also, my garden has decided to keep producing more than we can eat, can or freeze.  Anyone that shows up at our door, is offered bags full of green beans, corn, onions, cucumbers, tomatoes and zucchini.  Soon it will be cantelope, apples and pears.  My own sons have said, " no more zucchini!"  We have eaten it every possible way:  zucchini fries, bread, casseroles, stir fry, etc.  As you can imagine, this means that my crafting has had to take a back seat.  In fact, I haven't had much time all summer to spend in my craft room.  I found an hour one evening and was able to make this card.

This is my dt card for Aud Sentiments.  The challenge theme is "Anything But A Birthday Card!"  This would be a great time to get started on Christmas cards if you haven't already.
Our sponsor for this challenge is Stamp Art Design by Kathryn.  I used her adorable Autumn Friends image.
