Mermaid Tilda

I made this card without a purpose in mind.  I am going to just add it to my stash of "any occassion" cards.
Last month I had to go out of town for almost a week  due to a family emergency.  I stamped several images to take with me to help pass the time.  This is one of those stamped images.  I really didn't have a plan for her and I colored her without having papers picked out.  Luckily I had some papers in my stash that worked with how I ended up coloring her.  I painted over her tail, shells and a little in her hair with extreme glitter paint.  I use the hologram color and it works great when painted over colored cardstock and images I have already colored with copics. I used glossy accents for the bubbles.

Card Details:
Stamp:  Mermaid Tilda from Magnolia Stamps
Spellbinders scalloped circle die
Banner:  Magnolia Stamps
Shells: Magnolia stamps.  Stamped with brown on tan paper and then painted with extreme glitter paint

Yoda Says

On Sunday my oldest son turned 18 years old.  I can't believe I now have an adult son!!
This is the card I made for him.  He loves the Star Wars movies so I couldn't resist
using Yoda to make him a card.
The image is a free coloring page.  I think I got the greens a little too dark but I love the inside sentiment.

Sketches by Carly #50

I am not sure what happened but Blogger somehow lost my post for today so I am writing another one. I know I am not crazy because I actually saw the post on my blog this morning but it was gone this afternoon.  Hopefully, I won't end up with two posts with the same pics on my blog.
It's time for another great sketch challenge with Sketches by Carly.  This week we are being sponsored by The Paper Shelter.  One lucky participant will win a gift certicate to their store.
I used the image "Tango" from The Paper Shelter for my card.  I am not sure that you can see it in the picture but I painted her dress, scarf and lamplight with extreme glitter paint.  I love using that paint to add sparkle and shine.  It dries so quickly.  In fact, it dries in just a matter of minutes which gives me an opportunity to add more layers of the paint for even more sparkle and shine.
I hope you join us in the challenge.  Don't forget to make a card using the sketch and link it up to Skeches by Carly.

Sassy Studio Designs Fan-tastic Valentine Hop

Sassy Studio Designs is having a Fan-tastic Valentine Hop. It's Fan-tastic because all of the images in this release were suggested by Sassy Studio Designs Fans.
I used the image "Country Girl"
The papers I used are from my stash.  I bought them several years ago because I just love the blue, pink and green denim paper.  Wish I had bought more but at the time I didn't think I would use them much since I only have boys.

As part of the Valentine Hop, we were asked to reveal who would be our celebrity valentine.
My favorite books that I love to read is the Stephanie Plum series  by Janey Evanavich.  Since the movie about the first book  just came out on the big screen, I chose the actor who played Ranger...Daniel Sunjata.

I used the sketch #12 from Sketch and Stash for my card.
The next stop along the hop is  FABIOLA
